The organizers of ESL Pro Series Poland have announced that LAMENT and DELTA have been kicked from the running EPS season, due to too many penalty points.
On Friday the organizers announced the removal of LAMENT as the team had gathered 1 major (1x10%) and 24 minor (24x1%) penalty points, which exceeded the allowed prize deduction of 30%. The team gathered these points based on missing premium accounts, leaving a match too early and pulling a no show.
All of their matches have been deleted; all penalty points or wildcards used by other teams in matches against LAMENT have been returned.
Yesterday DELTA followed the footsteps of LAMENT, with 2 major and 18 minor penalty points; they too were shown the exit door. Just as LAMENT, all DELTA matches have been deleted and penalty points or wildcards used by other teams in matches against DELTA have been returned.
This is the second time DELTA is removed from the season, following their removal in May, based on the ban of Mateusz "ham" Rosłon. They were however allowed back in a few days later, but in the end failed to comply with the rulebook.
Both teams will next season play the ESL Amateur Series, while eight teams still stand in the second season of ESL Pro Series, which will finalize the group stage the coming Saturday.
